the "2nd day" probably means t=24 to 48 hours? t+1 is 25 to 49?
IF so, 12 x 25 =300, 12 x 49 = 588
pi/300 = max angle, pi/588 = minimum angle, both in Quadrant I and positive
to get max f(t) you want maximum angle, closer to pi/2 as the cosine is smallest and -4cospi/576 is smallest leaving f(t) largest. the range though is extremely small. cospi/588 = 0.99999995 = virtually 1
18-4(cospi/588) = 14.00000002
cospi/300 =0.999999983 = virtually 1. and f(x)=14.00000007
maximum temperature is only 0.00000005 more than the minimum
