Though this is an open-ended prompt, I have a few ideas for how you can get started!
Brainstorm!
It's time to ask some questions:
Are there a few societies you would like to analyze in depth to answer this question? Pick one!
How can family planning affect a society positively? What are the positive results?
How can it affect a society negatively? What are the negative results?
Is there anything we can learn from these findings? What is the main point of the essay?
Next: Write it down!
I love a good outline, but you could also do a free write or circle graph. Basically, this is the point you want to get your ideas on paper in a *somewhat* structured way.
And then: Fill it in.
Turn your bullet points into complete sentences. Make sure each paragraph is cohesive and supports your thesis (the main argument of the paper).
I hope this is helpful for you as you begin your work.
Happy writing!
