I would pay close attention to Book I of Paradise Lost, when Satan recalls his fall from heaven. You can compare Satan's description of God's power, and his own place in Pandemonium, with Chapter 15 and 16 from Out of the Silent Planet. There, Ransom talks with a sorn about the authority and hierarchy on Malachondra.
