Let's say that the hours are h.
Abe works for $50 X the number of hours (h) + $45. Plumbing Service charges $55 X the number of hours (h).
We can set this problem up as: 50h + 45 = 55h
Now you just need to get h alone to know how many hours each plumber would need to work. I hope this helps!
