Question from a play called The Crucibl. John Proctor tells his wife Elizabeth that her “justice would freeze beer.” What does he mean by this example of hyperbole?

Lauren S.

Beer freezes at a lower temperature than water. Her justice is so icy-cold that it would freeze a beverage harder to freeze than water, i.e. "you're colder than ice"
