Hello, Rachel,
Since A = (1/2)*B*H,
put both the area and height into the equation to find the base, B.
32cm2 = (1/2)*B*4cm
32cm2 = 2*Bcm
B = 16 cm
What answer did you get that registered as "false?"

asked 09/24/20The formula for the area of a triangle is A= 1/2 bh, where b is the base of the triangle and h is the height of the triangle. What is the length of the base in the area is 32cm squared and the height is 4cm.

A = (1/2)bh
2A = bh
2A/h = b
2(32)/4 = b
b = 16 cm
