Why is the % paragraph model not always "right" for an essay? What other ways can we judge the effectiveness and power of one's writing/one's essay?

A 0% paragraph is not a good model to write an essay.

An essay should always be written in paragraphs.

First of all you should start every paragraphs with about 2 finger spacing from the red margin.

The first paragraph should contain a topic sentence (what you want to write about).. The second paragraph should contain the first and most important thought you want to write about with clear supporting details, followed by the second and third paragraphs, making sure to add supporting details. Your last paragraph is the conclusion which sums up the your initial idea of your essay clearly.

That means a good essay should have at least 5 paragraphs.
