Fables help to present classic literature and classic literary characters in a very colorful light both verbally and visually, which taps into children's natural visual-sensorial style of learning. Upon hearing the story being read aloud and looking at authentic illustrations, students' theatrical abilities can then get triggered and they can help make the fables come to life via acting out their storylines, dressing up in handmade costumes that fit the characters' historical fashion makeovers, and developing their vocabulary (from the Classical-Renaissance era of world history) through line recitation before their peers. Renaissance-era music writes the soundtrack for these fables, the live student performances and their own corresponding visual hand-drawn artistry. Learning and creating go hand in hand beautifully, with a newfound love of reading, writing, and philosophical reasoning soon to follow for the youthful scholars in training!
