How do you make a perfect circle?

There are two ways that I have found most effective. The first is drawing with your arm rotating at the elbow, instead of drawing with your wrist, then cleaning up any mistakes afterwards. The second way is investing in a circle template, it has a wide range of different circle sizes and their measurements on it.

The best way I have found without using any other tools is to keep your wrist straight and rotate your arm at your elbow. Start back making circles in the air and slowly approach the paper.

This reminds me of the times I had to do it freehand. The elbow technique works, but I would say that a very effective way is to make a square, make four quadrants in the square like a window, and carefully sketch out the circle as if you are doing it in parts. It helps you understand symmetry

There are a few different ways to do this:

1. you can use a compass
2. you can take a pen or a pencil and rotate the paper
3. you can take something with a point, and connect your pencil with a string, and rotate the pencil around the pointed object with the string taught
4. using your elbow as an anchor, make an arching motion with your elbow
5. Draw a square and then you can draw arches where the endpoints of the arches meet at the midpoint of the side of each square

There are a lot of other ways to do this as well. I personally just sketch out the circle and then clean up any stray marks
