I can give you some useful tips on how you can go about writing this essay.


150-300 words is approximately 1-2 pages in total length (typed).


An allusion by definition is when you metaphorically compare the actions of a person, or an overall idea, to another person's actions in writing. For example: "As President, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was to America what Winston Churchill was to England as its Prime Minister."


But in addition to alluding (hinting) towards that notion, as the assignment states, you also need to describe such an allusion in detail with many examples, events, and general information to defend your reasoning.

Yeah, I actually wanted you to please give a example of any story that you know and help me to identify the allusion in the story so I can understand how to do it and I can write one on my own.

I see. Well, there are a lot of stories that contain allusions. If you are looking for a fictional story that owns a lot of allusions, I would recommend literary works along the lines of: Shakespearean plays and sonnets, classic novels like Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Silas Marner by George Eliot (Mary Ann Evans), The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, Joan of Arc, the list goes on and on. If you are looking for works of nonfiction that own allusions, I would recommend the Diary of Anne Frank, the Autobiography of Malcolm X, any book written by 39th American President Jimmy Carter, again the list goes on and on. You may also use stories/books that you have read before and know well enough to be able to identify the allusions right off the bat. If you would like to choose from one of the above literary works, I could help you identify the allusions within it/them. This assignment is due tomorrow at 5:00pm, my assignment is about, like telling a story of my life or something like that, I don't have a problem telling my story but the thing is that I don't know how to find an allusion in my story and how to explain it to the reader.
