Let a = number of adults and c = number of children. That creates two equations
1) 3.25a + 2.75c = 356.25
2) a + c = 121
Rearrange the second equation to be a = 121 - c and plug into the first equation to get
3.25(121 - c) + 2.75c = 356.25
393.25 - 3.25c + 2.75c = 356.25
0.5c = 37
c = 74, a = 47
