Hello Jin! Let me make this simple!
To start with, recall that the y-intercept of any function is the value of function f(0) (basically the value of f(x) when x = 0)!
Using this information, g(0) = (1/2) * (10) ^ (0)
Mathematics state that a positive number to the exponent 0 is always equal to 1.
In other words, (number) ^ (0) = 1.
Therefore, 10 ^ 0 = 1.
