If I'm following you correctly we have the proportion 6/15 = 10/x and we want to find x.
The first step that I would do is to simplify 6/15 into it's simplest form. You can divide out 3 from both 6 and 15 and you're left with the fraction 2/5. So our new proportion is 2/5 = 10/x.
The next step is to cross multiply. This means that you multiply 2 and x and multiply 5 and 10.
You are now left with the equation 2x = 50. To find x, you have to divide both sides by 2. That will leave you with the equation x = 50/2.
Once you solve that out. you get that x = 25.
