The ideal artificial heart valve must have certain clinical and engineering features to perform efficiently.

i) Please purpose suitable type of biomaterial that can be used to manufacture artificial heart walves and . provide your reasons with the supports from litrature reviews. (Not more than half page writing, include your reference articles)

ii) What kind of biocompatibility test would you run for it? Explain the possible applicable ISO methods for testing biocompatiblity?

The artificial heart is a bioprothetic valve which is usually made from animal tissue (Heterograst) some are made from metal or polymers support. The difference types bovine (cow tissue) another common one is porcine (pig tissue). Also, the manufacture value are usually of more durable material so they last longer, however, they require blood thinners.
