Writing a short story can be pretty difficult, but I can do my best to help you incorporate those words into your writing:
Sassy is a characteristic, so you can use that to describe a character in your story. Ex: The sassy girl was rude towards her mother.
Totter can be an action, so a character can totter down the sidewalk, maybe after exercising too much.
Fleck, Jut, and Stoop can all be used to describe the physical characteristics of the setting. Ex: Many houses have stoops that jut out towards the street. If the stoop is poorly taken care of, there may be flecks of old paint on it.
