Don't overcomplicate the concept. A matrix is simply a list of information. More accurately, it's a table with rows and columns. One way of organizing your matrix is to put the team names on your rows. Wins and losses make up your 2 columns. Your matrices will be 3 x 2 matrices with 3 rows (Teams) and 2 columns (wins, losses)
