The U.S economy depends on its workers receiving adequate compensation for their work. That can be accomplished in several ways.
If the workers are organized into a union they will be able to negotiate a salary that will give them adequate compensation without being too outlandish. The process could start with notice being given to the employer that the workers are not happy with their current pay scale.
The employer, a manufacturer of products sold in other countries finds it necessary to continue to export his products. He can do this in several ways: by extending credit to his buyers and without raising his prices to an outlandish height.
