Animation Project - I have zero experience and I am getting nowhere

So I am working on a multi-modal project in my english class and I have literally everything planned out in my head that I want to do, but I literally cannot find a large collection of free pictures of literally any somewhat realistic looking cartoon character ot include as my main character besides anime, and for the project that I am doing (A short animated anecdote about a transgender (male to female) individual who was not included in sports the way she wanted to be) anime would be extremely out of context.

I would not discount anime just yet. Have you tried My Hero Academia? It might provide what you're looking for, if you can get the content. The main character, while not transgender, does have some battles going on regarding identity and understanding who he is and having the internal battle to accept who and what he truly is and needs to be. Just a thought. Good luck.

Tyler, your best bet is probably just a google search. Remember to cite whatever you find. If google's algorithms don't produce what you need, try searching Tumblr which has a pretty prevalent LGBTQ population and artistic population as well. It's probably going to be a bit harder to search on there, but I think you might have more luck. Remember to give credit to the artist and ask permission to use the image, but most small-time artists would be glad for the free publicity, I'd bet.

I found a site on google images that is not posting charges that might be of interest. If you cite the source and are only using for academics, it should be fine https://www.google.com/search?q=real+life+realistic+cartoon+character&hl=en&safe=strict&tbm=isch&tbs=rimg:CYngK77MnSXfImC2k4Twr2F81UcJUjkVhoBqgM7t26nzFPMc6xTQLQ9YC3uZjgBDji5Xgt4y8N2A80A3ww2K5Tc7ckl6UAD5fUk0JnXDapGsDQ68K2tF60ElnmceWKN30Qy7hYkhkg383wEqEgm2k4Twr2F81RFqcJCqIKVieioSCUcJUjkVhoBqEWd6INTeACtNKhIJgM7t26nzFPMRqdatCwfZ6Z0qEgkc6xTQLQ9YCxHhfHIdn70c-yoSCXuZjgBDji5XEXCCVOHJsGL5KhIJgt4y8N2A80ARVQ_1eKpAb_12YqEgk3ww2K5Tc7chFZeosIQZakdSoSCUl6UAD5fUk0EWFhQwZgJqu2KhIJJnXDapGsDQ4Rt9VGdi_1cRkYqEgm8K2tF60ElnhE-eAtc9J7b3yoSCWceWKN30Qy7Ec7A1jA8hMlLKhIJhYkhkg383wER907v9cBsnoo&tbo=u&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjV372kxaHmAhWPFxQKHQd0BzgQuIIBegQIARA4&biw=1343&bih=640&dpr=1

Hi Tyler, I'm hoping that you've been able to find a solution to your query by now. I just wanted to point you in the direction of 2 sites that I've used religiously when having to take on similar projects :-). The first is https://www.freepik.com and the second is https://www.cleanpng.com (formerly kisspng.com). Happy image hunting! Please keep us posted and let us know how the project turned out.
