Hemoglobin has a quaternary structure which contributes to its biological factor. There are 4 haems surrounding a globin molecule, attached to each hemoglobin. Each of the 4 haems have an iron group that will allow oxygen to bind to. Each globin links 2 polypeptide chains which helps hold the hemoglobin structure together.
