Hello Mariam. I can help you with your Biology question:
The diagram shows an experiment on diffusion. The diagram is basically a beaker that has sugar solution X and a permeable bag with 20% sugar solution inside it. More sugar diffuses out of the bag than diffuses in. What is the concentration of sugar solution X?
a) 10%
b) 20%
c) 30%
d) 40%
It is important to understand that sugar is leaving the bag to go into the beaker. This tells us that the concentration in the bag (20%) is higher than the concentration outside of the bag. so sugars move across the permeable bag to the beaker to try and balance the concentrations.
The only choice that makes sense is a) 10% because it's the only one lower than the bag's original 20% concentration.
