Is it possible to chemically synthesize blood?

Like we know all the chemical compositions of blood and add the ingredients. We even know the compositions of each blood group and synthesize it to be of a particular group, say A - (which is extremely rare). Has blood ever been successfully synthesized in a chemical laboratory and can such blood be used for transplant and function fully as normal blood would?

Well I will guess that is due to the lack of blood cells in artificial blood....

Yep, and all of the associated enzymes, proteins, cofactors, etc that go along with those cells.
