Hi Shahla! Here is a typical outline for a synthesis paper and some tips.
To review: A synthesis paper is one where you mix different sources to support your argument or come to a conclusion. Read the documents and decide whether or not you believe that Roosevelt agreed with his own quote; your decision on whether he does or not is what you're going to include in the thesis statement.
Introduction and thesis statement
Topic sentence 1
- Use quotes and evidence from documents to support your argument
- Example: "(insert quote)" + explain quote and why it supports your thesis
- Transition sentence at the end
Topic sentence 2
- Use quotes and evidence from documents to support your argument
- Transition sentence at the end.
