Do any of J. D. Salinger's short stories share locations or characters?

J. D. Salinger is a well-known 20th century author, most notably of _Catcher in the Rye_.He was fairly prolific, writing many stories. Do any of these stories share the same universe?

Members of the fictional Glass family populate both Franny and Zooey and Nine Stories, and the locations are all realistic if not real. It can be fun to put together the family connections, but doing so isn't necessary to analysis of the stories individually.

Any locations given in Salinger's books are irrelevant. At the beginning of "Catcher In the Rye" Holden Caulfield has just been thrown out from a fictional college, his fourth in a row. We also find him in his home in NYC where other events unfold. This classic is not concerned with location but rather a young person's inconsistent skepticism toward others and society in general.
