I love everything about teaching and tutoring! I very much enjoy helping students to understand advanced concepts. All problem-solving mechanics rely on a concept and I enjoy helping students to grasph those concepts. I want them to be able to distinguish between the "whys" and the "hows." In this way, the student can start from a handful of ideas and use those to solve many problems. Although time does not always permit, I feel it is helpful to see different ways of doing the same problem.

Lifelong English/TOEFL Tutor Who Caters Learning to Individual's Need
How do I get my profile in English to be approved? Be personable, write effectively using a variety of synonyms, etc.:
Sit down and write how your english ability/expertise will help you stand out compared to other tutors who might be working with certain ages or other ages, note memberships in English groups such as NCTE, National Council of Teachers of English, or ASCD, or other organizations and credentials/writings submitted previously.
Be personable about how you would be teaching grammar, vocabulary, writing, critical reading to middle schoolers, high schoolers, elementary children, or adults (TOEFL-related, SAT/ACT/ISEE, etc.). Have you written a short poem or essay, sharing it with your future clients? Do you have a collection of rubrics that might be used by homeschoolers as well as private schools, public schools, university students, etc.? The 'world is your oyster' when presenting yourself to future clients, including wyzant. Be sure to use a spell checker and thesaurus so that your presentation reflects your English expertise. Follow good grammar rules.
