I would probably construe that as a prepositional phrase, treating "such as" as a preposition. (FWIW, Merriam-Webster considers a phrase with "such as" to be an idiomatic construction.)
You should be aware that there are other problems in the sentence. For example, the pronoun adjective "their" does not agree in number with its referent ("each").
