I offer tutoring for standardized tests and academic coursework. I am a former Princeton Review teacher (both group lessons and tutoring) and have tutored privately as well. I received my BA from the University of Pennsylvania and MA from Georgetown University. I received a perfect score on the GRE (800/800/6.0) in November 2010 and am happy to provide the official score report on request. I can't guarantee you similar results, but I CAN guarantee that I will provide you with the tools you need to succeed on your upcoming tests!

Thank you for considering me for tutoring! Due to travel time, I ask for a minimum of two hours per lesson unless you are near me (Upper East Side). I am also happy to offer discounts for groups.
Marc is an excellent tutor. He is very organized, very patient, and flexible. He is also very nice and was able to easily connect with and engage my daughter. He is very good at what he does and is very familiar with the structure and content of both the SAT and ACT tests. My daughter's math SAT score, which is what we hired Marc to work on, went up substantially after just 6 or so weeks working with Marc. She felt much more confident and competent when taking the test the second time. I highly recommend March for SAT and ACT prep.
My son had 8 online classes with Marc for ACT essays review in the summer, and he was very patient and helpful in reviewing my son's ACT essays. He gave good suggestions and test taking techniques and helped my son to improve his ACT writing.
Marc is a wonderful tutor, and I recommend him highly. I was struggling with the Quantitative section of the GRE and wanted to raise my score by a few points. Marc understood my goals and what I could realistically achieve in my short time frame, and he provided me with useful test-taking tips and strategies that I was able to apply on my own (this part was key) when I was practicing at home. Marc's organized, structured approach to teaching also worked well for me since I'm a visual learner (he likes to use charts and encourages his students to write down every step), and because of his kind, non-judgmental nature, I never felt embarrassed if I stumbled over simpler material.
I am starting business school this summer and will definitely reach out to Marc again if I need a statistics or accounting tutor!
Thank you so much for your patience with the subject matter! It is greatly appreciated and I feel that I learned a lot!
Marc has been helping my stepson in all subject matter ranging from math and physics to English. He communicates with me regularly, which is a huge help to me as a parent; he is wonderfully reliable and answers emails in a very timely fashion. Further, he only charges for the time he spends with my son - while other tutors may charge a full hour even when a conflict has to cut the session short (a conflict on OUR end, never on his). I'm very grateful. Thank you, Marc.
Marc has been fantastic at organizing and explaining complicated math concepts to my son. We are very pleased with the proven results in his grades.
Marc is knowledgeable, punctual, returns messages in a timely basis, keeps my 15 year old on target and avoids getting distracted. My son enjoys the sessions and Marc is motivating.
Marc did great job on my reading questions; he finished and returned my questions really quick and perfectly. He is a great tutor!
I was very impressed with Marc's acumen in regard to the GRE. He addressed the test format, specific testing techniques, and the subject matter in a direct, focused, yet cool manner. He revealed insightful patterns for handling math problems by offering tactical solutions. In addition, he outlined approaches to argumentative essays in a concise way which helped me in preparation for this exam.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have tutored GRE prep both privately and for the Princeton Review. I got a perfect score on the GRE and earned my master's degree from Georgetown University.
