Yes, Silverberg based his works, 'Nightfall' and 'The Ugly Little Boy' on Asimov's short stories of same titles. There is a third work by Silverberg, 'The Positronic Man' based on another of Asimov's short story, 'Bicentennial Man' written in 1976. In total, I believe Silverberg based three of his works on three of Asimov's.

You are right about 'Nightfall', and 'Ugly Little Boy'. There is a third novel, 'The Positronic Man'. Silverberg based that work on Asimov's short story 'Bicentennial Man' written in 1967. In total, I believe Silverberg based three of his novels on three of Asimov's stories.11/14/19
