If you are doing this digitally, ten I recommend using Adobe Illustrator. It cleanly adjusts freehanded strokes to make it smooth. I normally like using the brush tool or the pen tool depending on what you're drawing.

If you are drawing traditionally then you want to do lighter / longer strokes. Using less pressure helps reduce strained, jagged lines. Good luck! :)
