Dear Pizza Lover,
I presume what you mean is that 10 people EACH want 1/4 of a cheese (not chess? Unless there's something new in chess tournaments) pizza.
So this problem is asking to to realize, as you write the equations, that it's much more useful to write it as a multiplication problem.
As addition: (1/4) + (1/4) + .... (10 times in all) = X
As multiplication: 10 * (1/4) = X
I leave it up to you to solve. It's as easy as (several) pies ....
Actually, I've answered the problem the way I anticipate you actually meant it, namely, how many pizzas do they need in all?
If it really is what you stated, then you need "ten (quantity) 1/4 pizzas". But then the requested equations formats don't make much sense.
