How to draw a head from all angles from imagination?

I've been drawing portraits for some time, both realistic and stylized. I can draw from imagination for profile, 3/4 and face-forward views. But I want to be able to draw from imagination all views: from below, from above, etc.Currently I have a little plastic head maquette that I use for reference when I do this. How do I learn to do this from imagination?

The key to learning the figure and the head is drawing the figure and the head, not from imagination but from observation. To know the figure you really have to study it, that is the only way to get where you want to go. So get books from the library, draw people outside in the park, take a class if you can, and eventually you'll be able to do all of that without even looking.
