The amount of amniotic fluid is different during different stages of pregnancy but it should not exceed more than 1 liter. So if it does exceed more than 2 liters it is termed as Polyhydramnios. sign n symptoms which you can observe in mother are shortness of breath,swelling in the lower extremities,uterine discomfort and contractions due to more pressure, decrease fetal movements.Complications of polyhydramninos are premature birth,premature rupture of membranes,breech presentation of baby, umbilical cord prolapse,placental abruption and still birth.
