I’ve never really thought much on this, but maybe since llevar is meant to describe bringing or taking something to a different place than you currently are, you can think of the object as ‘leaving’ you.
Leave -> Llevar
Traer would just be the opposite. Not sure if there is a good T word in a English to relate to something coming your way. Maybe ‘team up’ or ‘together’?
