Is there a standardised questionnaire measuring tendency to think emotionally versus logically?
I want to conduct a research on the effect of emotions on decision. It is about the role of affective and cognitive processes in making a decision. I want to know if an individual relies more on emotions or logical thinking, but could not find any validated measure/questionnaire for that. I found some that measures the dual process theory : rational or intuitive but that is not what I am looking for.
Wondering if there is any survey/test for this?
There is a well-known personality test called the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. This test gives you a percentage for four different polar personality traits. The traits are as follows: extroverted vs introverted, sensing vs intuition, thinking vs feeling, and judging vs perceiving. You could use this test in your research to have a standardized measurement of your subjects' tendency to rely on their thoughts or their feelings. The test is found at this link https://www.mbtionline.com/?utm_source=MBF&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=online
