Yes! American Indians were always the target for settlers and many thousands were murdered in cold blood for no reason. But the Indians did retaliate! Livestock was disrupted by tribal raiders - who also shot up work crews and infiltrated many station towns.
There were two instances where Native Americans sabotaged railways. One in August 1867 when a Cheyenne raiding party attempted to derail a train, they were successful if overturning a handcar and killing the crew of repairmen. Then in 1868 a group of Sioux Indians made a huge blockade, upturning rails and piling wooden ties in-between and tying it all with wire. It resulted in 2 deaths.
