Any time you use a resource, you need to cite it in the format the teacher requires. If your teacher asks for APA format, that is the format you need to use. You need to give credit to the authors of all ideas that are not your own. Failing to cite properly is plagiarism and can result in a 0% or other unpleasant consequences.
