What markers are like sharpies without the fumes?

My 5-year-old's gotten really into drawing all kinds of things with sharpies, but the smell is pretty awful (and mildly unhealthy). What marker has the look-and-feel without the fumes. The super-permanence of sharpies is not necessary. In fact, not bleeding through typing paper would be a plus!

I recommend going to your local art store (Blick, Michaels, Artist & Craftsman Supply) and ask the rep there for whatever brands they have of non-alcohol-based bullet tip markers. Then you can try some out yourself and see if they would work for your child. There are plenty of options, but depend on what store you buy them from!
