A superbug is typically a microbe (usually bacterial but can be fungal) that is resistant to conventional treatments. Antibiotic resistant bacteria are examples of superbugs. The more then are resistant to...the more deadly they are. There are some forms of Candida (yeast) that are also worrisome because they are not hampered by traditional fungal infection treatments.
