Our 8th grader's Honors Biology grade has gone up since Gioia has been working with him. This advanced class was a bit of a shell shock to him this year and Gioia not only helped his study habits and organization but we have also seen an improvement in his self confidence. She is also very honest and will tell us if she doesn't think he needs the full hour of tutoring for a particular lesson. Five stars!

The ideal situation may be to have a tutor in person but Gioia makes her lessons very effective by providing needed tools before hand. She is patient and goes beyond presenting the material to be learned; she takes the time to know what the student is having difficulty with as a learner. AP Biology is a heavy course load, I am hoping to continue to have Gioia work with my daughter thru the end of the course.
