Hi! The square sandbox has two legs of 9 feet because 9 times 9 is 81. If you square the two legs and add them together, you will get the hypotenuse squared - 81 + 81 = 162. Take this number of 162 and find the square root, which is approximately 12.73 rounded to the nearest hundredth. This is the hypotenuse and therefore the diagonal of the sandbox.
