There are no chloroplasts in cyanobacteria which are prokaryotes (do not have membrane bound organelles). The chlorophyll in these bacteria is found in their cytoplasm. They don't have thylakoid membranes like chloroplasts. Instead they use infoldings of their cell membrane.
