De and para are not interchangeable in that they do not mean the same thing. “De” translates to “of” or “from”. While “para” in those examples mean “for”. While you can, in most cases, use them in the same place syntactically, you are slightly changing the meaning of the sentence depending on which word you use. “Juguetes de ninos” can mean the “children’s toys” (of), or “toys from the children”. “ Juguetes para ninos” indicates that the “toys are for the kids”. Sentences indicate different messages.
