Biogenetic Law was proposed by Ernst Haeckel in which he proposes a theory of development and evolution for an animal embryo. According to Haeckel, stages of development for an animal embryo are the same as other animals' adult stages or forms. In other words, this theory centers around the idea that a particular animal embryo undergoes during development a chronological replay of the adult form of its evolutionary ancestor. This, along with multiple theories among Evolutionary Biology and Developmental Biology, supports the theory that all species on Earth share a common ancestor.
