Is this an example of osmosis?

It would be diffusion (b). Osmosis is the movement of water (solvent) across a semipermeable membrane from a high to a low concentration of water until equilibrium is reached. At equilibrium there is no directional movement of water. The molecules of water move back and forth across the membrane randomly.
