Greetings! Lets solve this shall we ?
Supplementary Angle = (180 - x)
Measure of an Angle = x
Let the measure of one angle be x and let 4 times a supplementary angle be 4(180-x). The translation for this statement yields,
If the measure of an angle is 4 times the supplementary angle
x = 4(180-x).................Now we solve for x by Distributing the 4 in first such that
x = 720 - 4x...............Then add 4x to the other side such that
5x = 720.............Then divide 5 such that
x = 144°
Then the other angle is (180 - 144) = 36°
I hope this helped!
