If Simon had 5 more peaches, then he would have four fifths of the number of peaches that martha has. If simon gave away seven peaches, then he would have two-fifths the number of peaches that martin has. How many peaches does simon have?

S-7 = (2/5)M

(5/4)(S+5) = (5/2)(S-7)

5(S+5) = 10(S-7)

5S + 25 = 10S - 70

25 = 5S - 70

95 = 5S

S = 19

(19 + 5) = (4/5)M

24 = (4/5)M

M = 24*5 / 4 = 30

(2/5)(30) = 12 = 19-7

Simon has 19 and Martha/Martin or whoever's name starts with M has 30
