If a person with Down syndrome marries a person without Down syndrome, is it possible for their child not to have Down syndrome? Explain.

Yes, it is possible.  Down's Syndrome (there are three types) is not hereditary, although it is genetic.  This means that it is related to a genetic mutation, but it is not passed in the genes from parent to offspring.
