I have 9 subjects in total.Got my maths (B;77/100).In the remaining eight subjects , How many marks do I need so that my overall is 80%?

I want to know that how many marks do I need and if it is okay that even if I get a D , i will get a A , which is 80%?

 

My grading scheme

 

A*: 90-100

A  : 80-89

B  : 70-79 

C  : 60-69

D  : 50-59

U (FAIL) : 50 and below

you have a 77 with 8 more grades

get a 59 or D on 1 course, leaving 7 more grades. You want an 80 average

(59+77 + 7x)/9 = 80

136 + 7x = 720

7x = 720-136 = 584

x = 584/7 = 83.43 average needed on the 7 remaining courses to get an A
