The molar absorptivity, epsilon, of a particular compound is 5,674 M^-1*cm^-1.The absorbance of a solution was found to be 0.75 and the pathlength of the cuvette used was 10mm. What is the concentration of the solution in units of molarity?

Using Beer's Law A = ecl and solving for c:

c = A/el = 0.75/(5674M^-1cm^-1)(1 cm)  (NOTE: change 10 mm path length to cm)

c = 1.3x10^-4 M
