Bibliography card and note cards

Its a really dumb question but I really dont know. I understand that a bibliography card is a card where you put down your sources and note cards are top put in information. So I can use my first bibliography card source and and make 3 note cards from that source? or is it 1 bibliography card and 1 note card. or can they not relate to each other at all?

This is a matter of personal organization.

What I do is number each bibliography card.

Then each note card that refers to that bibliography has the same number.
