How are the processes of mitosis and meiosis similar to each other?
- Both have diploid parent cells, but mitosis produces 2 daughter cells and meiosis produces 4 sex cells
- Both have 5 phases of division
- During metaphase and anaphase, individual chromosomes line up along the equator and chromatids go to opposite poles, respectively
- They both end with cytokinesis
